Woman Charged After Houston Attack

A 19-year-old Houston woman has been charged with aggravated assault after authorities say she invited a pregnant woman to a home and attacked her with a knife.

Carrieale Williams was arrested Aug. 20 after deputies responded to the 12000 block of Dona Lane in northeast Houston. Investigators said Williams and the woman knew each other through church, while court records allege the victim was dating Williams’ former boyfriend.

The victim’s identity has not been publicly released. Authorities said she was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening and was expected to recover.

An Invitation to a Home

According to Harris County Constable Precinct 3 investigators, Williams had invited the woman to the residence.

Court records and investigators allege that, once the woman was inside, she noticed Williams attempting to conceal a knife. A struggle followed, and authorities say the woman was injured before deputies arrived.

The reporting reviewed by NewsCommand does not establish why Williams allegedly invited her to the home or what prompted the confrontation.

That distinction matters because the relationship circumstances are unusually striking: the women reportedly knew each other from church, and one was dating the other’s former boyfriend. But investigators have not said those facts were the motive for the alleged attack.

ABC13 specifically reported that detectives had not disclosed a motive or said how far along the victim was in her pregnancy.

Neighbors Awoke to Police

The response drew attention along the otherwise quiet residential street.

ABC13 reported that neighbors described waking to a significant law-enforcement presence outside. One neighbor told the station the area was ordinarily calm and said learning what investigators alleged had happened nearby was unsettling.

The victim was taken for medical treatment and authorities later said she was expected to be OK.

For a woman already navigating a pregnancy, the alleged violence added an abrupt medical and legal crisis to what investigators described as a visit between two people who knew one another.

Court Records Add Another Layer

Williams was charged with aggravated assault, with charging documents accusing her of causing bodily injury with a deadly weapon.

During an Aug. 21 court appearance, a judge also referred to a previous case in which Williams had been accused of assaulting another pregnant woman in 2025. ABC13 reported that the earlier complainant was Williams’ sister and that the case was ultimately dismissed after Williams completed a 10-hour anger-management course.

A prior allegation does not establish guilt in the current case, and the earlier matter did not result in a conviction.

The judge also said in court that Williams was believed to be pregnant herself at the time of the Aug. 20 incident, according to People and ABC13.

Williams has not been convicted of the new charge.

Motive Remains Unclear

The relationship connections surrounding the case are likely to draw attention, but they do not answer the central unanswered question.

Investigators have confirmed the women’s church connection, and court documents describe the victim as dating Williams’ ex-boyfriend. Authorities have not publicly said that jealousy, revenge or any other motive caused the alleged attack.

That leaves the criminal allegation itself at the center of the case: a pregnant woman went to a home after being invited there, deputies say an attack followed, and a 19-year-old woman was arrested and charged.

The victim survived and was expected to recover. The legal process will determine whether prosecutors can prove the allegations against Williams, while the reason for the confrontation remains unconfirmed by available reporting.
