Isabella Strahan, the 20-year-old daughter of Good Morning America
co-anchor Michael Strahan, shared a health update in January 2025 —
six months after being declared cancer-free following a brain cancer
diagnosis in October 2023, according to Good Morning America. "It feels
like I'm starting over," she said in an interview with People. "Back
to where I started."

Isabella was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor
found near the base of the skull, and shared the news publicly alongside
her father on GMA in January 2024. She underwent multiple surgeries, six
weeks of radiation therapy, and several rounds of chemotherapy before
being declared cancer-free in July 2024, according to IMDB.

extended period of inactivity during her treatment caused Isabella to
lose significant leg muscle, requiring her to relearn how to walk,

to walk, a moment that drew widespread response from people who had

In her January 2025 update with People, Isabella announced an upcoming
ABC special that would document her recovery journey in greater depth.
The announcement confirmed that her story would move from social media

Michael Strahan, who stepped away from GMA periodically during
Isabella's treatment to be with her in Durham, North Carolina, where
she received care at Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center,
addressed his daughter's progress publicly multiple times. He confirmed
in September 2025 at the Ryder Cup All-Star Celebrity Match that he had
no intention of leaving GMA, saying: "Oh, I'm not going anywhere, I'm
