LeBron James Leads One of Sport\'s Most Diverse Portfolios
By Morgan Blake. Feb 2, 2026
LeBron James has built one of the most expansive business portfolios in
professional sports history, with holdings spanning entertainment
production, media, real estate, restaurant franchises, and equity stakes
in major sports organizations, according to Social Life Magazine. As of
2026, James is recognized as the first active NBA player to reach
billionaire status.
His portfolio includes an estimated \$300 million tied to SpringHill,
his media and production company; a \$90 million stake in Fenway Sports
Group; approximately \$80 million in real estate; and a \$30 million
interest in the Blaze Pizza chain, according to Social Life Magazine.
His lifetime endorsement deal with Nike, signed in 2015, remains one of
the most valuable athlete endorsement agreements in the brand's
history.
The SpringHill and Fulwell 73 Merger
The most recent structural development in James's business operations
came in November 2024, when The SpringHill Company confirmed a merger of
equals with Fulwell 73, the British production company behind The Late
Late Show and multiple Grammy and BAFTA Award-winning projects,
according to Deadline. The combined entity raised \$40 million from
existing investors alongside the announcement.
SpringHill itself was valued at approximately \$725 million in 2021,
when it sold a significant minority stake to a group that included
RedBird Capital Partners, Fenway Sports Group, Nike, and Epic Games,
according to Forbes. That round consolidated three prior
James-affiliated brands — SpringHill Entertainment, marketing agency
The Robot Company, and athlete platform Uninterrupted — into a single
company.
Fenway Sports Group and Liverpool FC
James's relationship with Fenway Sports Group extends beyond
investment. As part of his FSG stake, he holds an equity interest in
Liverpool Football Club, one of the most commercially valuable football
clubs in the world, according to Fenway Sports Group. That stake was
formalized through an exchange of a previously held Liverpool interest
when James became part of FSG's broader ownership group.
The portfolio reflects a deliberate strategy developed alongside
Maverick Carter, James's longtime business partner and CEO of
SpringHill. The model — athlete-as-owner rather than
athlete-as-endorser — has influenced how an entire generation of
professional athletes approaches business beyond their sport.
